Description


Want to enjoy the mornings, inside a wooden cottage or a room, near a private lake or near a forest with minimal crowd? Then, this is the right place to watch the sunrise and sunset with your loved ones.

Astha resort is in Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon district, near Bamungaon Reserve Forest.  And behind the Bongaigaon District Jail.

The cottages, machan, other smaller sitting areas, children's' swings are all nearby the lake. You are free to take snapshots of fishes, ducks and birds for your insta-reels. Make sure to take all necessary items you need while staying or even going on a one-day trip as the place is located in a remote area. For example the food which is available is from the resort itself. The timings are highly specific.

It’s a good place to relax and give some time to family.

A cup of coffee in cottage’s balcony.

Calm and quite atmosphere with no crowd and undoubtedly serene view.

Taste the local assamese cuisine.


How to reach

It’s well connected with national highway NH 27 and 117. The roads after the main highway is not in a good condition. Roads in the village are are mainly earthen roads.

Nearest railway station is Bongaigaon/New Bongaigaon (25 kms).

You won’t find any local/private bus service. Please take care of all the necessary travel bookings through private car rental services.

Other nearby locations which you could visit are golden langur, safari in the manas national park and more.


When to visit

The best time to visit the resort is from November to April. As the winter season is perfect for such cosy trips. The resort may/may not be closed from May to October because of the rainy season and floods.
