Description

Among the various other Eco. parks, Koya Kujiya is made up of several small islands which  has been developed by the state gov. in order to promote eco. tourism. It is located in Abhyapuri and is a perfect picnic spot for families get-together.

It’s mostly famous for watching migratory birds, who come here in every winter season. 

For nature lovers ,this beautiful lake is a major attraction. The lake is surrounded by greeny-blue hills. Selfie/Picture lovers could do there best photo shoots.

One could also enjoy boat rides, to travel from one island to another.

The tickets cost mentioned above includes the boat ride costing as well. You may even take private self-peddle boats to move around as per your convenience. 

Another advantage is ,you could carry your own cooking stuff and cook yourself a delicious meal as there is ample space to sit and enjoy.

Furthermore, Eco Park is equipped with well-planned watching towers, auditorium and few small gardens ,swings on each island.

How to reach

The highway roads are quite good. Private cars and buses are available from Bongaigaon. Bus services between Koya Kujia and Guwahati are available. Lake has two entrance:

1. From east side (Daramari)
2. From west side (Batabari) in case coming from NH-17

Best Time

The winters are the best as you can spot many migratory birds.
